Preparation

1

Muddle the Peach and Mint

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh peach (cut into small pieces) and mint leaves. Use a muddler to gently press and twist the ingredients together, releasing the peach juices and mint oils. Make sure not to over-muddle to keep the mint from becoming bitter.

2

Add Rye and Lemon Juice

Pour in the rye whiskey and fresh lemon juice into the shaker with the muddled peach and mint. Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid.

3

Shake It Up

Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds to thoroughly mix the ingredients and chill the cocktail.

4

Strain and Serve

Strain the contents of the shaker into a glass filled with ice. You can use a fine mesh strainer if you want to remove any peach pulp.

5

Top with Ginger Beer

Pour the ginger beer over the strained mixture in the glass. Stir gently to combine.

6

Garnish

Garnish the drink with a slice of peach and a sprig of mint for an attractive presentation.
