Preparation Steps

1

Juicing the Lemons

Roll the fresh lemons on a countertop to soften them. Cut each lemon in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or reamer to extract the juice into a measuring cup. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.

2

Making the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.

3

Mixing the Lemonade

In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.

4

Serving the Lemonade

Add ice cubes to glasses and pour the lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for added flavor and presentation.
