Method
Cake Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine almond flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool the Cake
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Whipped Cream Preparation
Chill Mixing Bowl
For best results, chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Assembly
Layer the Cake
Once the cake is completely cooled, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers.
Add Whipped Cream and Strawberries
Spread a layer of whipped cream on the bottom layer of the cake, top it with half of the sliced strawberries, and then place the top layer back on.
Finish with Toppings
Top the cake with the remaining whipped cream and the rest of the sliced strawberries. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
