Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Fill a copper mug or highball glass with ice (cubes or crushed) to chill the vessel and keep the cocktail cold.

2

Add vodka

Measure 2 oz Deep Eddy Vodka and pour it over the ice in the chilled mug.

3

Add lime juice

Measure and add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice (about half a lime). If using a lime wedge garnish, reserve it for later.

4

Top with ginger beer

Top the drink with 4 oz of chilled ginger beer. Pour gently to preserve carbonation.

5

Stir gently

Give the cocktail one or two gentle stirs with a bar spoon to integrate vodka, lime, and ginger beer without flattening the bubbles.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wedge squeezed or perched on the rim and optional thin ginger slice or candied ginger. Serve immediately.

Tools

7

Use a jigger to measure spirits and a citrus juicer for easy fresh lime juice. A bar spoon helps mix without over-agitating the ginger beer.
