Method

Prepare the Taco Filling

1

Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

2

Add Onions and Garlic

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

3

Season the Meat

Stir in the taco seasoning and diced tomato. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes are softened and the spices are well combined.

Prepare the Taco Shells

4

Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable. Keep them warm in a tortilla warmer or wrapped in a clean kitchen towel.

Assemble the Tacos

5

Fill the Tacos

Take a warm tortilla and spoon a portion of the beef filling onto the center. Top with shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

6

Add Fresh Ingredients

Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top. If desired, add slices of avocado, jalapeños, and a squeeze of lime juice.

7

Serve

Fold the tortilla around the filling and serve immediately while warm. Enjoy your homemade tacos!
