Method

Burger Patty

1

Prepare the Burger Patty

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

3

Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

House Made Sausage

4

Prepare the Sausage Mixture

In a separate bowl, mix together ground pork, salt, fennel seeds, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until combined.

5

Form the Sausage Patties

Shape the sausage mixture into two patties that are slightly larger than the burger patties.

6

Cook the Sausage

In a skillet, cook the sausage patties over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.

Toppings

7

Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onion thinly. In a pan, melt butter over medium heat, add the onions, and cook slowly until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

8

Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the burger patties, place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty to melt.

Beer Cheese

9

Make the Beer Cheese

In a saucepan over low heat, combine cheddar cheese, cream cheese, beer, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Stir until smooth and melted, about 5-7 minutes.

Burger Assembly

10

Assemble the Burgers

On each burger bun, place the sausage patty, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and a generous drizzle of beer cheese. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
