Preparation

1

Prepare the Sausage

Remove the breakfast sausage from its casing and break it into small pieces.

2

Season the Sausage

In a bowl, mix the sausage pieces with black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.

Cooking

3

Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the applewood smoked bacon slices. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until crispy and golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

4

Cook the Sausage

In the same skillet with the rendered bacon fat, add the seasoned sausage. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 8-10 minutes or until the sausage is browned and cooked through.

5

Combine and Serve

Once both the bacon and sausage are cooked, serve them together on a plate, garnished as desired.
