Method

Crust Preparation

1

Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.

2

Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Filling Preparation

3

Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

4

Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.

5

Incorporate Eggs and Flavoring

Add the vanilla extract and the eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

6

Add Flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.

Baking the Cheesecake

7

Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Tap gently on the counter to release any air bubbles. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

8

Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and crack the door open. Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven for one hour. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

9

Chill the Cheesecake

Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

10

Serve the Cheesecake

Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Top with fresh berries, dust with powdered sugar, and add whipped cream if desired.
