Salad Preparation
Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the focaccia bread into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread the cubes on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Allow to cool.
Prepare the Romaine
While the croutons are baking, wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly and dry it using a salad spinner or by patting it with paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
Add the Dressing
Once the romaine is prepared, pour the Caesar dressing over the lettuce. Toss well to ensure all the leaves are coated evenly.
Add Croutons and Parmesan
Add the cooled focaccia croutons to the salad and sprinkle the shaved Parmesan cheese over the top. Toss gently to combine.
Serve
Taste the salad and adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper if necessary. Serve immediately.
