Coffee

Method

Coffee

1

Brew the Coffee

In a coffee maker, add the freshly ground coffee to the filter. Pour 2 cups of water into the reservoir and start the brewing process.

2

Sweeten the Coffee

Once brewed, add sugar to taste. If desired, add milk for a creamier texture.

Donuts

3

Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine milk, egg, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

4

Shape the Donuts

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters to cut out donut shapes. Place on a floured baking sheet.

5

Fry the Donuts

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 375°F (190°C). Fry donuts in batches for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

6

Coat with Sugar

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. While warm, coat each donut in powdered sugar.

Fried Chicken

7

Marinate the Chicken

Place chicken pieces in a large bowl. Pour buttermilk over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

8

Prepare the Breading

In a shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

9

Bread the Chicken

Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring a good coating.

10

Fry the Chicken

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
