Coffee Base

Iced Coffee Preparation

Method

Coffee Brewing

1

Prepare Coffee

In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the coarsely ground coffee and 4 cups of cold water. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.

2

Steep

Cover the pitcher or bowl and allow the coffee to steep at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor will be.

3

Strain Coffee

After steeping, strain the coffee mixture through a fine mesh sieve or a coffee filter into another pitcher, discarding the coffee grounds.

Iced Coffee Assembly

4

Prepare Glasses

Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes, about 1 cup of ice per glass.

5

Pour Coffee

Pour the brewed coffee over the ice in each glass, filling them about 2/3 full.

6

Add Milk (Optional)

If desired, add milk to taste in each glass. Start with 1/2 cup and adjust according to your preference.

7

Sweeten (Optional)

Stir in sugar to taste and add vanilla extract if desired. Mix well until fully dissolved.

8

Serve

Stir the iced coffee and serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
