Method

Prepare Wonton Mixture

1

Cook the Duck

If not already cooked, roast the duck breast in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Shred the cooked duck into small pieces.

2

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded duck, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Assemble Wontons

3

Prepare Wonton Wrappers

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean work surface. Keep a small bowl of water nearby.

4

Fill Wontons

Place about 1 teaspoon of the duck mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Dip your finger into the water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly.

5

Shape Wontons

Bring the two opposite corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal, creating a wonton shape. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.

Cook Wontons

6

Boil or Fry

For boiled wontons, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the wontons and cook for about 4-5 minutes or until they float to the surface. For fried wontons, heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the wontons until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Prepare Dipping Sauce

7

Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, and set aside for serving.
