Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

1

Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press and twist the mint leaves with the sugar. This will release the essential oils from the mint and create a fragrant base for your mojito.

2

Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. You can also use a lime juicer for better extraction. Ensure that you drop the squeezed lime halves into the glass as well for added flavor.

3

Pour in the Rum

Add the white rum to the muddled mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients and dissolve the sugar completely.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes. This will chill the drink and help blend the flavors together.

5

Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is almost full. This adds fizz and lightens up the drink. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients without losing the carbonation.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw for sipping.
