Method

Churro Preparation

1

Make the Churro Dough

In a saucepan, combine water, butter, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2

Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

3

Heat Oil

In a deep skillet, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Fry Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on all sides. Fry in batches.

5

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

Remove churros from oil and drain on paper towels. Roll hot churros in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Assembly

6

Assemble the Sandwich

Take two churros and place a scoop of vanilla ice cream between them to form a sandwich. Serve immediately.
