Method

Cooking Gnocchi

1

Boil Gnocchi

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

2

Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3

Add Shrimp and Tomatoes

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they start to turn pink. Then add the halved cherry tomatoes and stir well.

4

Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes until the wine reduces slightly.

5

Finish with Cream

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 2 minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combining Gnocchi and Sauce

6

Combine

Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with the sauce and gently toss to coat the gnocchi in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Serving

7

Serve

Plate the gnocchi with shrimp and sauce, garnishing with extra basil and Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your meal!
