Method
Crepe Preparation
Make the Crepe Batter
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes to achieve the best texture.
Cook the Crepes
In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour a small amount of batter (about 1/4 cup) into the skillet, swirling to coat the bottom evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the edges begin to lift. Flip and cook for an additional 1 minute. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining batter, adding more butter as needed.
Dulce de Leche Preparation
Assemble the Panqueque
Fill the Crepes
Take a cooked crepe and spread a generous amount of dulce de leche in the center. Fold the crepe in half, then in half again, forming a triangle.
Serve
Dust with powdered sugar, top with chopped nuts and fresh fruits if desired, and serve warm.
