Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Beef Tallow Candied Pecans

In a saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of beef tallow. Add 1 cup of pecan halves, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the pecans are coated. Cook for 5-7 minutes, then spread on parchment paper to cool.

2

Prepare the Seasonal Spread

Choose seasonal ingredients such as roasted red peppers blended with cream cheese or a seasonal fruit jam. Mix them together in a small bowl.

3

House Pickles

In a jar, combine sliced cucumbers, carrots, and radishes with 1 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of salt. Let sit for at least 1 hour for pickling.

4

Arrange the Board

On a large wooden board or platter, artfully arrange the charcuterie, cheeses, candied pecans, seasonal spread, pickles, and honeycomb. Include small bowls of whole grain mustard and crostini on the side.
