Method

Prepare Beef Marinade

1

Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the beef cubes with soy sauce, fish sauce, black pepper, minced garlic, and sugar. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cook Rice

2

Cook the Rice

Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.

Prepare Vinegar Salad

3

Make the Salad

In a bowl, mix the sliced cucumbers, grated carrots, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Toss well and set aside to marinate.

Stir-Fry Beef

4

Wok-Fry the Beef

In a large wok or skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked to your liking.

Serve

5

Plate the Dish

Serve the stir-fried beef on a plate with a side of vinegar salad and a portion of jasmine rice.
