Churro Dough

Method

Prepare Churro Dough

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil. Bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Add Flour and Salt

Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball. Let it cool for a few minutes.

Incorporate Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth. Stir in the cinnamon.

Prepare for Frying

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat until hot, about 350°F (175°C).

Fry Churros

Pipe Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe long strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length.

Fry Until Golden

Fry churros until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Coat with Sugar

While still warm, roll churros in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Chocolate Sauce

In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in dark chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

Prepare caramel sauce according to package instructions or use store-bought.

Mix powdered sugar with a splash of vanilla extract and a little water until you reach a desired consistency.
