Challah French Toast

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

2

Dip the Challah Bread

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Take each slice of Challah bread and dip it into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 10-15 seconds on each side.

3

Cook the French Toast

Once the skillet is hot and the butter is melted, place the soaked Challah slices onto the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Add more butter as needed when flipping.

4

Prepare Garnish

In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon sugar. Once the French toast is cooked, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar to taste.

5

Serve

Serve the French toast warm, topped with seasonal berries and drizzled with Vermont maple syrup.
