Salad Preparation

1

Prepare the Endive

Wash the endive heads under cold running water. Trim the base of the endive to remove any brown spots and separate the leaves. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

2

Prepare the Pear

Core and slice the pear into thin wedges. If desired, you can leave the skin on for added texture and color. Add the pear slices to the salad bowl with the endive.

3

Add Blue Cheese

Crumble the blue cheese into small pieces and sprinkle it over the salad.

4

Add Candied Walnuts

Sprinkle the candied walnuts over the salad for added crunch and sweetness.

5

Toss the Salad

Gently toss the ingredients together in the salad bowl to combine, being careful not to bruise the delicate endive leaves.

6

Serve

Serve the endive salad immediately, or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
