Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions, carrots, and celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

2

Add Garlic and Beef

Add minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

3

Incorporate Tomatoes and Wine

Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Add oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

4

Simmer the Sauce

Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5

Cook the Spaghetti

While the sauce simmers, cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well.

6

Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
