Method
Prepare the Macaroni
Cook the Macaroni
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Mix the Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded pepper jack cheese, softened cream cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up.
Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, combine the bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix until evenly distributed.
Form the Bites
Shape the Mixture
Once the macaroni mixture is chilled, take small portions (about 1 tablespoon each) and shape them into bite-sized nuggets.
Coat the Nuggets
Roll each nugget in the bread crumb mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
Fry the Bites
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Nuggets
Carefully add the coated mac bites to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve
Serve the Jacked Mac Bites hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
