Method
Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
Prepare the Ham
Place the bone-in ham in a large roasting pan, fat side up. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
Make the Glaze
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine whole-grain mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and water. Stir until smooth.
Glaze and Bake the Ham
Apply the Glaze
Brush half of the prepared glaze over the scored surface of the ham.
Bake the Ham
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze.
Finish and Serve
Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. Once the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), take the ham out of the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with optional fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs, if desired.
