Method
Grilled Sesame Sourdough
Prepare the Sourdough
Brush each slice of sourdough bread with sesame oil on both sides.
Grill the Bread
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Place the oil-brushed sourdough slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.
Add Sesame Seeds
During the last minute of grilling, sprinkle sesame seeds onto the slices to toast them slightly.
Season
Remove the grilled sourdough from the grill and sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
Whipped Butter
Soften the Butter
Allow the unsalted butter to sit at room temperature until softened, about 30 minutes.
Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, sea salt, and finely chopped fresh herbs.
Whip the Butter
Using a hand mixer or fork, whip the butter mixture until fluffy and well combined.
Chill
Transfer the whipped butter into a serving dish and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Smoked Fish Dip
Prepare the Base
In a medium bowl, combine the smoked fish, cream cheese, and sour cream.
Add Flavorings
Mix in the lemon juice, fresh dill (or parsley), and black pepper until all ingredients are well combined.
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve
Serve the smoked fish dip chilled alongside the grilled sesame sourdough and whipped butter.
