Falafel Ingredients

Method

Falafel Directions

1

Prepare the Chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas, then add them to a food processor.

2

Add Vegetables and Spices

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper to the food processor. Blend until the mixture is coarse but well combined.

3

Form the Mixture

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour until a dough forms. If it's too wet, add more flour as needed.

4

Shape the Falafel

Wet your hands and shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.

5

Fry the Falafel

Heat olive oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Carefully add the falafel balls and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

6

Serve

Serve the falafel with salad, hummus, tahini sauce, and roasted pepper dip.
