Cooking the Burger

Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into two equal patties.

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add a slice of American cheese to each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
