Method

Steak Preparation

1

Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help them cook more evenly.

2

Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

3

Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

4

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to create fries.

5

Soak the Fries

Place the potato strips in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

6

Fry the Potatoes

Drain and dry the potatoes thoroughly. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Garlic Butter Preparation

7

Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of salt, then remove from heat.

Serving

8

Serve the Dish

Slice the grilled steak against the grain and serve it on a plate alongside the crispy fries. Drizzle the garlic butter over the steak and fries for added flavor.
