1

Prepare glass

Fill a double old fashioned or tiki glass with crushed ice to chill while you mix the cocktail. Set aside.

2

Combine base ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Kuleana Hawaiian agricole rum, 0.75 oz Cointreau, 0.5 oz amaretto, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1.5 oz fresh pineapple juice, 0.5 oz fresh orange juice, 0.5 oz orgeat syrup, and 0.25 oz simple syrup.

3

Shake

Add a handful of ice (not crushed) to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

4

Strain over ice

Discard the chilling ice from the glass. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with fresh crushed ice. Double-strain the shaken mixture over the crushed ice to remove small ice chips and any solids.

5

Float dark rum

Gently float 0.5 oz Mahina Dark Rum on top: pour the dark rum slowly over the back of a bar spoon held just above the drink surface so it rests as a dark float.

6

Garnish and finish

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a spent lime shell or lime wheel tucked into the ice and a mint sprig if desired. Serve with a straw and a small stirrer so the guest can integrate the float if they like.
