Preparation of Seafood

1

Boil the Shrimp

In a pot of boiling salted water, add the boiled shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and set aside to cool.

2

Prepare the Raw Shrimp

If using large raw shrimp, devein and chop them into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

3

Cook the Octopus

In a separate pot, boil water and add the octopus. Cook for about 30-40 minutes, or until tender. Drain, chop into small pieces, and set aside.

Chopping Vegetables and Fruits

4

Chop the Red Onion

Peel the red onion and finely chop it. Place it in a bowl.

5

Chop the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber and dice it into small cubes. Add it to the bowl with the onion.

6

Prepare the Serrano Chili

Remove the stem from the serrano chili and chop it finely. If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds before chopping.

7

Dice the Mango

Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the pit. Dice the mango into small cubes and add it to the bowl.

Mixing Ingredients

8

Combine the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled shrimp, raw shrimp, cooked octopus, chopped red onion, cucumber, serrano chili, and diced mango. Mix gently to combine.

9

Season the Mixture

Add salt to taste and pour in the lime juice. Toss everything gently until evenly coated.

Serving

10

Chill and Serve

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled in glasses or bowls.
