Taco Filling

Method

Prepare the Octopus

1

Cook the Octopus

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the octopus and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for about 45 minutes or until tender. Remove the octopus from the pot and allow it to cool.

2

Marinate the Octopus

Once cooled, chop the octopus into bite-sized pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chopped octopus and mix well. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Tacos

3

Warm the Tortillas

In a skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable. Keep them warm in a clean kitchen towel.

4

Assemble the Tacos

On each tortilla, add a generous amount of the marinated octopus. Top with shredded red cabbage, chopped cilantro, sliced avocado, and radishes. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top.

5

Serve the Tacos

Serve the tacos immediately with additional lime wedges on the side for guests to add more juice if desired.
