Preparation

1

Wash and Prepare Spinach

Wash the fresh spinach leaves thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or grit. Drain and set aside.

2

Chop Garlic

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.

Cooking

3

Cook Spinach

In a large saucepan, bring about 1 inch of water to a boil. Add the spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Drain the spinach in a colander, pressing to remove excess water. Chop the spinach coarsely and set aside.

4

Make Cream Sauce

In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

5

Add Cream and Cheese

Stir in the heavy cream, cream cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook, stirring frequently, until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is smooth.

6

Combine Spinach and Seasoning

Add the chopped spinach to the sauce, stirring well to combine. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

Serving

7

Serve Warm

Transfer the creamed spinach to a serving dish and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
