Almond Milk Ingredients

Method

Almond Milk Directions

1

Soak the Almonds

Place the raw almonds in a bowl and cover with 2 cups of water. Let them soak for at least 8 hours or overnight to soften.

2

Drain and Rinse

After soaking, drain the almonds and rinse them under cold water.

3

Blend the Mixture

In a blender, combine the soaked almonds, 4 cups of fresh water, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.

4

Strain the Milk

Place a nut milk bag or a clean cheesecloth over a bowl. Pour the blended mixture into the bag and squeeze to extract the almond milk. Discard the almond pulp or save it for another use.

5

Store the Milk

Transfer the almond milk to a clean glass jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Shake before use.

Coconut Milk Directions

6

Blend the Coconut

In a blender, combine the shredded coconut and 4 cups of water. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

7

Strain the Mixture

Place a nut milk bag or a clean cheesecloth over a bowl. Pour the blended mixture into the bag and squeeze to extract the coconut milk. Discard the coconut pulp or save it for another use.

8

Add Flavoring

Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the extracted coconut milk for flavor.

9

Store the Milk

Transfer the coconut milk to a clean glass jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Shake before use.
