Philly Cheesesteak Directions
Prepare the Steak
Thinly slice the ribeye steak against the grain into strips, aiming for about 1/4 inch thickness. Season the slices with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and mixed bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside.
Cook the Steak
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and increase the heat to high. Add the seasoned ribeye steak slices to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a good sear, then stir and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the steak is fully cooked.
Add Cheese Wiz
Pour the Red Rock Cheese Wiz over the steak and vegetable mixture. Stir well to coat everything with the cheese sauce. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the hoagie rolls open and fill each roll with the Philly cheesesteak mixture. Top with pickled pepperoncini to add a tangy flavor.
Serve
Serve the cheesesteaks hot with a side of your choice. Enjoy your delicious Philly cheesesteak!
