Potatoes

Method

Preparation

1

Wash and Slice Potatoes

Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Using a sharp knife or a mandoline slicer, slice the potatoes thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).

2

Soak Slices

Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and makes the chips crispier.

Cooking

3

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

4

Dry Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potato slices and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to remove excess moisture.

5

Season Chips

In a large bowl, combine the dried potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss until all slices are evenly coated with the seasoning.

6

Bake Chips

Spread the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.

7

Cool and Serve

Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container once completely cooled.
