Carne Asada Tacos

Method

Carne Asada Tacos

1

Marinate the Flank Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

2

Add the Steak

Place the flank steak in the marinade, ensuring it's fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

3

Cook the Flank Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches desired doneness (medium-rare to medium is recommended).

4

Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

5

Slice the Steak

Slice the steak thinly against the grain into strips.

6

Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.

7

Assemble Tacos

Place a few slices of the cooked flank steak onto each tortilla. Top with a generous spoonful of Pico de Gallo.

8

Serve

Serve the tacos with sides of cooked rice and refried beans.
