Tea Base

Method

Tea Base Preparation

1

Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

2

Add Tea Leaves

Once the water is boiling, add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

3

Add Spices

Stir in 1 tablespoon of mixed spices (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves) and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.

4

Strain Tea

Remove from heat and strain the tea into a separate pot or pitcher, discarding the tea leaves and spices.

Milk Mixture Preparation

5

Heat Milk

In a separate saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until it begins to steam. Do not let it boil.

6

Sweeten Milk

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar or your preferred sweetener to the warm milk and stir until dissolved.

Final Assembly

7

Combine Mixtures

Pour the strained tea base and the sweetened milk together in a mug, mixing gently to combine.

8

Serve

Serve hot, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.
