Method

For the Fried Green Beans

1

Prepare the Green Beans

Wash the fresh green beans under cold water and trim the ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

2

Set up Breading Stations

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs, toasted onion flakes, salt, and black pepper.

3

Bread the Green Beans

Dip each green bean first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the bread crumb mixture, ensuring each bean is fully coated.

4

Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature.

5

Fry the Green Beans

Carefully add the breaded green beans to the hot oil in batches, being sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

6

Drain and Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried green beans and let them drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.

For the Garlic Jalapeno Aioli

7

Prepare Ingredients

Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Remove the seeds from the jalapeno pepper and finely chop it.

8

Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped jalapeno, lemon juice, and salt. Mix until well combined.

9

Chill

Cover the aioli and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

10

Serve

Serve the fried green beans with the garlic jalapeno aioli on the side for dipping.
