Method
Sweet Potato Fries
Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
Season and Bake
In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, salt, and paprika until evenly coated. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Turkey Burgers
Make the Turkey Patty Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.
Assembly
Prepare the Buns
While the burgers are cooking, toast the whole grain buns in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.
Assemble the Burgers
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a turkey patty on top, followed by a slice of crispy bacon, a leaf of green lettuce, and a generous spoonful of apple-cranberry relish. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve
Serve the turkey burgers alongside the sweet potato fries and enjoy your holiday meal!
