Blackened Seasoning

Burger Components

Method

Preparing Blackened Seasoning

1

Mix the Spices

In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the blackened seasoning.

Cooking the Burger

2

Form and Season the Patties

In a large bowl, take the ground beef and divide it into two equal portions. Form each portion into a patty shape and season both sides generously with the blackened seasoning.

3

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

4

Grill the Patties

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the seasoned patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

5

Add Goat Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of goat cheese on top of each patty to melt slightly.

Assembling the Burger

6

Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

7

Layer the Ingredients

Spread 2 tablespoons of garlic basil mayonnaise on the bottom bun. Place the cooked patty with melted goat cheese on top. Add two slices of bacon, an onion ring, and a handful of arugula. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce.

8

Final Touch

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
