Method

Marinade Preparation

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine the jerk seasoning, olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

2

Marinate the Fish

Place the catfish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Cooking

3

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Fish

Remove the catfish from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place fillets on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

5

Plate the Dish

Once cooked, remove the catfish fillets from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

6

Garnish and Serve

Serve the jerk catfish garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
