Method

Marinade Preparation

1

Make the Marinade

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the jerk seasoning, olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

Fish Preparation

2

Marinate the Tilapia

Place the tilapia fillets in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring each fillet is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Cooking

3

Cook the Tilapia

Preheat the grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the tilapia from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill or cook the fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has grill marks or is golden brown.

Serving

4

Serve

Once cooked, remove the tilapia from the heat and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
