Method
French Toast
Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Soak the Bread
Dip each slice of thick-cut bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Let it soak for a few seconds to absorb the mixture.
Cook the French Toast
In a large skillet or griddle, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the soaked bread slices and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from heat and keep warm.
Maple Butter
Prepare the Maple Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the stick of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, stir in the maple syrup until well combined and heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
