Chicken Tenders

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken

Start by cutting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

2

Set Up Breading Station

In three shallow bowls, set up your breading station: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Breading

3

Coat the Chicken

Take each chicken strip and first dredge it in the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off any excess flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking

4

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, pour in the cooking oil and heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread in it; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.

5

Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

6

Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
