Morning Blast

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, granulated sugar, and water. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Thoroughly wash all vegetables (spinach, kale, cucumber, green bell pepper, and avocado) under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Wash and Prepare Vegetables

Chop the cucumber and green bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice it into thin pieces.

In a blender, combine fresh basil, fresh parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

Blend the Herbs

Taste the dressing and adjust salt and pepper if necessary. Blend again for a few seconds to mix.

In a large bowl, combine the washed spinach, kale, chopped cucumber, green bell pepper, and avocado slices. Drizzle the herb dressing over the salad.

Gently toss all ingredients together until the vegetables are well coated with the dressing.

Choose young green coconuts that are firm and heavy for their size. Use a coconut opener or a sharp knife to carefully pierce the top of each coconut and create an opening.

Start by rinsing the fresh cranberries thoroughly under cold water to remove any debris or impurities.

Rinse the Cranberries

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed cranberries to the pot. Reduce the heat to medium and allow them to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and softened.

After the cranberries have cooked, remove the pot from heat. Use a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the liquid into a large bowl or pitcher, discarding the solid cranberry skins.

If desired, add sugar or honey to taste while the juice is still warm. Stir well until dissolved. You can adjust the sweetness according to your preference.

Fresh Cranberries

Cut the watermelon in half. Scoop out the flesh and remove any seeds. Cut the flesh into smaller chunks for easy blending.

Prepare the Watermelon

In a blender, combine the watermelon chunks, fresh lime juice, mint leaves, honey or agave syrup, and cold water. Blend on high speed until smooth.

Place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer to separate the juice from the pulp. Use a spatula to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.

Pour the strained watermelon juice into glasses over ice cubes. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.

Fresh Watermelon

Cold Water

In a large brew kettle, heat 15 liters of water to about 70°C (158°F). Add the 4 kg of pale malt and 0.5 kg of crystal malt to the water, stirring well to avoid clumps. Maintain the temperature at around 65°C (149°F) for 60 minutes to allow the enzymes to convert the starches into sugars.

Prepare the Mash

After the mash has rested for 60 minutes, sparge the grains with hot water (around 75°C or 167°F) to extract more sugars. Collect the wort in your brew kettle, aiming for about 20 liters total volume.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add 100 grams of Cascade hops and boil for 60 minutes. After 30 minutes, add the 50 grams of Centennial hops for additional flavor.

Boiling

After the boil is complete, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until the temperature drops to around 20°C (68°F).

Cooling the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast by sprinkling the packet over the surface of the wort. Seal the vessel with an airlock and let it ferment at around 18-20°C (64-68°F) for 1-2 weeks or until fermentation is complete.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve 100 grams of priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water and cool it. Add this to the fermented beer to carbonate it. Bottle the beer in sanitized bottles and cap them.

Bottling

Let the bottled beer condition at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. After that, refrigerate and enjoy your homemade Lagunitas IPA!

Priming Sugar

In a large brewing kettle, combine 10 liters of water with 1 kg of malted barley and 0.5 kg of corn. Heat the mixture to about 65°C (149°F) and hold for 1 hour to allow the sugars to extract.

Step 1: Prepare the Mash

After the mash is complete, strain the liquid (wort) from the grains. Bring the wort to a boil and add 0.1 kg of hops. Boil for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
