In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium heat.

Prepare the Oatmeal

Once boiling, stir in the oatmeal. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oatmeal is thick and creamy.

Once the oatmeal is cooked, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

While the oatmeal is cooking, slice the banana into thin rounds.

In a serving bowl, pour the oatmeal and top it with sliced bananas and walnuts.

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into quarters and place them in a large pot. Cover with water and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender. Drain and let cool.

While the potatoes are cooling, chop the celery and red onion into small pieces. Set aside.

Peel the hard-boiled eggs and chop them into small pieces. Set aside.

Prepare the Eggs

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, paprika, and sugar. Whisk together until smooth.

Make the Dressing

Once the potatoes have cooled, cut them into bite-sized pieces. Add the potatoes, chopped celery, red onion, and chopped eggs to the bowl with the dressing. Gently fold the ingredients together until well coated with the dressing.

Mixing the Drink

In a large brew kettle, heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add 5 cups of pale malt and 1 cup of caramel malt to the water. Stir gently and maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Mashing the Grains

After mashing, sparge the grains by rinsing them with hot water (around 170°F or 77°C) until you collect about 6 gallons of wort in your brew kettle.

Sparging

Bring the collected wort to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 oz of bittering hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add 0.5 oz of aroma hops in the last 5 minutes of the boil.

After the boil, quickly cool the wort using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Cooling the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle the packet of ale yeast on top of the wort. Seal the vessel with an airlock and let it ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.
